Theresa Cifali is a Mixed Media Artist and Desiger from Valhalla, NY. Her primary interests lie in the paper arts, although she incorporates many other mediums. Theresa is the sole proprietor of The Altered Canvas® and it's sister company My Heritage Preserved™. She has 13+ years experience as a designer working with consumers, manufacturers and local craft businesses. She served as Creative Director for a local company that manufactured scrap book frames. In addition, Theresa is an experienced instructor within the craft and hobby industry.

Theresa has her own private studio, Altered Canvas Studios, where she maintains her business, instructs classes and continually experiments with new designs and techniques. She is an active member of the Designer Section of CHA. Theresa also writes a monthly column for When Creativity Knocks' Creative Journal and is a featured artist on 365daysofcrafts.com.

Theresa feels passionate about the importance of preserving memories. Using photos and other memorabilia to create fun and exciting art that can be handed down from generation to generation is something she strives to share with others. She maintains that our lives are stories that need to be passed on. Every surface is a canvas that needs to be altered!
